Circle: If you could become famous for one thing that your are currently not good at, what would it be? What was one highlight from your weekend?

World Issues: You will have 15 minutes to work on your world issues projects.

Model Government Project: We will be starting the Model Government Project in class today. Remember, you must complete the packet before starting your slideshow. 

Due Date: Your Model Government Projects will be due the class before Christmas. This means that you have five class periods to complete this project.

Circle: What is the worst injury you've ever had?

World Issues Project: You will have fifteen minutes to work on your World Issues Projects.

DBQ: We will be going through the documents 1 by 1.

The Steps:
1- Look at the author information.
2- Discuss the point of view of the author and the potential biases he/she may have.
3- Report out.
4- Read and discuss the content of the document and answer the questions in your groups.
5- Report out what the strengths and weaknesses were of Spartan education based on this document. 
6- On a separate piece of paper, use a t-chart to record notes on what the strengths and weaknesses were.
7- Repeat for the next document. 

In your groups, come up with the two different thesis statements you could have. Then, come up with the claims you could have for both sides.

We will then be going over the rubric for your paper. Here is a sample introductory paragraph.

You will then be writing your outlines.
