Learning Target: Students will understand the role Alexander the Great played in spreading Greek culture. Students will be well informed members of society and will be able to formulate educated opinions on global, national, and local issues.

Circle: What scares you the most.

World Issues Project: You will spend 15 minutes working on your World Issues Projects.

Is Question 1 a Good Idea? https://ballotpedia.org/Maine_Question_1,_Payroll_and_Non-Wage_Income_Taxes_for_Home_Care_Program_Initiative_(2018)

Was Pericles Rule a Golden Age?: Take five minutes in your groups and discuss your answers to question number 7. What reasoning do you have for your thinking?

Argument Outline: You will then be writing Claim, Evidence, Warrant outlines. Your claim should either be that Pericles rule was a golden age OR that it was not a golden age. You need three pieces of evidence to support your claim. You then need at least two sentences for your warrant. This paragraph will be broken down.

Greek Philosophers: Each group will get one of the three great Greek Philosophers (Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle). Your goal is to become an expert on what your philosophers ideas were. At the beginning of next class, you will become the teacher. You will be teaching the rest of your classmates about the philosopher you were given. The format you choose to go about this is completely up to you.

Homework: You're the teachers at the beginning of next class, come in ready to teach your 3-5 minute lessons.
