Today's Learning Target: Students will be able to locate people, places, and things throughout the world. Students will understand how humans impact the environment and vice versa. Students will be well informed members of society and will be able to formulate educated opinions on global, national, and local issues.

Circle: What was your favorite activity to do on the playground?

Anchor Activity: Students will be working on their anchor activity for 10-15 minutes.

Group Activity: Group Biography: In your groups you will be asking each of the other members one thing that they've worked really hard to get good at that they are in fact good at now. Each member will share their story of how they got good at this particular activity. Groups will then be presenting about each of the members in their group. Each members story must be told and everyone in the group must talk for each story except the person that it's about.  Each presentation will last less than two minutes.

Group Activity: You will first be looking at cartoons of the Paleolithic and Neolithic ages. In groups, you will then have ten minutes to come up with your own cartoon to represent these two ages. We will then be doing a gallery walk.

Group Activity: Groups will have seven minutes to put together a brief one minute presentation on chapter 1. This should be a summary of chapter 1. You will be allowed to use any props that you desire as there are no specifications for this activity.

Whole Class Game: You will be mingling around the room with a word written on a piece of paper. When I say go, you will search for the other student who has the same thing written on their paper. You will try to get with that partner as quickly as possible. When everyone gets together there will be a get to know you question for each person to answer. The group that is last to meet up will share each others answers with the group.
-If you could drive any car, what would it be?
-How many siblings do you have?
-What's your favorite pet that you've ever had?
-What's your favorite subject in school?
-What's your favorite color?
-If you could be any super hero that exists, who would you be?n\h

Exit Ticket: What is one thing you are enjoying or doing well at in this class so far? What is one thing your are not enjoying, doing poorly at, or nervous about in this class?
