Today's Learning Target: Students will be able to locate people, places, and things throughout the world. Students will understand how humans impact the environment and vice versa. Students will be well informed members of society and will be able to formulate educated opinions on global, national, and local issues.

What is your favorite show to watch on TV?

Class Activity: We will be going over the A Little History of the World book assignment.

Anchor Activity: Students will be working on their anchor activity for 10-15 minutes.

Group Activity: Groups will have ten minutes to put together a brief one minute presentation on chapter 1. This should be a summary of chapter 1. You will be allowed to use any props that you desire as there are no specifications for this activity.

Group State Research Activity: Students will be working together in groups to research a randomly picked state. Students will need to find and label the following: Three Major Cities, Three Major Natural Landmarks, Three Major man made Tourist Attractions, Divide the State into different Regions.
Students will then be writing individual paragraphs on the following: What is the climate like in this state? What is the terrain like (soil, plants, animals, etc)? What does this state produce/export? How does the climate and terrain of this state impact what it does/is able to produce? Also, rationalize how you divided your state into regions. What makes these regions different form each other? Here is the rubric for this assignment.

Homework: Finishing the Group State Research Paragraph if you didn't finish in class. Neolithic Revolution Paragraph (if not already completed).
